Shalom u'Vrachah! I frequently receive your letters, and recently also a photograph regarding the gathering in Lod where you were present and delivered words of blessing. It is my pleasant duty to express the great satisfaction I received from this and to see your positive attitude toward Chabad matters and institutions, which continues from your visit here.
Merit is brought about on a meritorious day; I was informed that on this day they are laying the cornerstone for the foundation of the fourth building of Chabad housing in Lod. Certainly you have an important role in its establishment as with the previous buildings—and even more so now, following our Sages' instruction that one should always increase in holiness and all good things. Building a house is certainly a good thing, for Hashem hopes to be able to say about every Jewish home: 'V'Shachanti B'Socham' ("And I will dwell among them")—within each and every one; how much more so regarding a new home in our holy land, a land upon which 'the eyes of Hashem your G‑d are always upon it from the beginning of the year until year's end.'
May it be G‑d's will that this block will soon be completed and filled with residents—as well as those blocks already finished—with our fellow Jews in general and especially immigrants from that country. May each one come to rest and inheritance until the fulfillment of the promise that Hashem will bring each one of Bnei Yisrael to rest and inheritance—an eternal heritage—with the coming of the righteous redeemer speedily.
