Shalom u'Vrachah!
I hereby acknowledge receipt of your telegram about your aliyah to our Holy Land at an auspicious and successful time, and the good news upon good news regarding your settlement in Nachalat Har Chabad. My strong hope is that as its name implies, it will be an inheritance without boundaries and that your ascent will be ever-increasing, as with all matters of holiness where we ascend higher. From this it is also understood that every addition to the number of settlers in this inheritance—especially from our fellow Jews who stood firm during times of siege and captivity—is an increase not only in quantity but even more so in quality in all matters concerning the inheritance. Through this, there is an increase in all matters of Chabad that have come to Kfar Chabad, and through this, in all matters concerning our Holy Land.
May it be G‑d's will that this too will add to the blessing of Hashem for each and every one of them with their families—may they live—in everything they need from soul to body, and may their ascent be both spiritual and material together. Furthermore—and this is most important—that this will break through the limitations that existed until now for our fellow Jews who are still there; and for all those who must leave from there, may it be without concealments or obstacles, with visible and revealed good. And for those who must continue—and will continue—to strengthen Judaism and spread its wellsprings especially in that country and its surroundings—may their holy work continue with expansiveness and without any concealments or obstacles, with joy and gladness of heart.
May they illuminate the darkness in those places by awakening everyone there to know strongly and consistently that every soul among them is a veritable portion of G‑d above—a "ner Hashem nishmat adam" (the candle of Hashem is the soul of man)—and may they increase the light of this candle through "ner mitzvah v'Torah or" (a mitzvah is a candle and Torah is light), with the luminary within Torah being Toras HaChassidus.
Fortunate are those who continue this holy work. As is known from a sacred talk by my revered father-in-law, the Admor: very soon will come the end of our exile with the true and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu; then we will realize what a precious time it was—what could have been accomplished for Yiddishkeit, Torah, mitzvos, etc.—and where else could one have such an opportunity after the true redemption? The same applies regarding our situation.
Blessings for successful settlement together with good news in all mentioned above, and a kosher and joyous Pesach holiday.
M. Schneersohn
P.S. It is obvious that what was written above at the end of my letter also applies to those who have already made aliyah to our Holy Land: let them learn all the more so—if there they were involved in spreading Judaism and its wellsprings especially—how much more so should they do so in our Holy Land, a land upon which "the eyes of Hashem your G‑d are always upon it from the beginning of the year until year's end." They should serve as living examples for those who made aliyah before them as well as for all our fellow Jews who have come to Kfar Chabad in general. May we hear good news about this as well.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages new settlers in Nachalat Har Chabad to expand their efforts in spreading Judaism both quantitatively and qualitatively. He blesses them with success materially and spiritually while urging them to serve as shining examples for others making aliyah.
