מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מי"א מנ"א. ות"ל על הבשו"ט משחרורו של בנו הבכור שמואל שליט"א, וע"פ מרז"ל שכל שמטיבין לו הוא לאורך ימים ושנים טובות יהי רצון שבקרוב יבשר טובות גם בשאר הענינים אודותם כותב.
ובשאלתו, האם להשתדל שבנו הבכור יעתיק לאה"ק ת"ו מפולין או שישאר לע"ע בריגא בשביל להשתדל ע"ד וכו'.
הנה כיון שכאן אין ידועים פרטי המצב שם והאפשרית דהשתדלות הנחוצה להעתיק מהמדינה, ועוד זאת שהרי עלול שיחולו בזה שינוים ואי אפשר לשאול לשם שיבררו זה בשם, מטעמים המובנים הנה אין כדאי להתערב מכאן בהנ"ל. שב ואל תעשה - כאן - עדיף וישענו על בינתם של הנמצאים שם על אתר.
ת"ח על הבשו"ט מרפואתה של... ויהי רצון שגם אודותה יבשר טוב, וכן בהנוגע להענינים הכללים, כוונתי ללימודו בקדש ולהתועדות בזמנים המסוגלים. ומה שכותב שזהו עתה בזעיר אנפין, המענה ע"ד הצחות הוא, שבז"א הוא קצה אור א"ס ב"ה (תו"א ס"פ תרומה) וכוונתי לא רק לצחות בעלמא אלא גם לפנימיות הענין, שאפילו בזעיר אנפין כמ"ש בלימוד הרי יש להכניס בזה אור רב עד כדי א"ס ובמילא ישפיע זה על המשתתפים אף כי מעטים הם במספר להגדיל השפעתם בסביבתם עד שבס"ה יהי' הרבה יותר מהשפעת רבים הנוכחים בהתועדות דמיעוט אור, ומובן שהנ"ל תלוי בעיקר בהמתועד.

Regarding your question about whether to strive for your eldest son to move to Eretz HaKodesh from Poland or remain for now in Riga to pursue certain matters: Since the details of the situation there and the possibilities for arranging the necessary transfer are unknown here—and since changes may occur and it is impossible to inquire there for clarification—understandably, it is not advisable to intervene from here in this matter. "Sit and do not act"—for us here—is preferable, and they should rely on the judgment of those present locally.
Thank you for the good news about her recovery... may it be G‑d's will that you will also share good news about her in the future, as well as regarding general matters. I refer specifically to his Torah study and farbrengens at auspicious times.
As you write that this is currently "b'za'ir anpin" (in a small way), the witty response is that "Za'ir Anpin is the edge of the Infinite Light of Hashem" (see Torah Or end of Parshas Terumah). My intention is not only a witty remark but also its inner meaning: Even when things are "b'za'ir anpin," as you write regarding learning, one must infuse it with abundant light—even infinite light. This will then affect all participants—even if they are few in number—to increase their influence on their surroundings so that ultimately, their impact will be much greater than that of many present at a farbrengen with little light. It is understood that this mainly depends on the one leading the farbrengen.
