הנני לאשר בזה קבלת מכתבו מ-3/15, בקשת ברכה עבור אביו שי', וכבקשתו מצו"ב מכתב אליו.
בהזדמנות זו, כיון שכל דבר הוא בהשגחה פרטית, אביע איחולי למר אשר בעבודתו כאן בתפקיד מארץ הקדש, יראה את עצמו כשליח ובא-כח ארצנו הקדושה, וכדוגמא לה ולאורח חיים הראוי לה, בסגנון אחר קצת, שהנהגתו באורח חייו תהי' באופן שיודגש ויוכר בה הטוב והקודש לתפארת ארץ הקדושה, שנקראת כך בלשון כל העמים, ועל אחת כמה וכמה בנוגע לבני ישראל, אשר זאת הארץ ניתנה להם בברית עולם, ברית בין אלקי ישראל ועם ישראל.
ויהי רצון אשר גם על חבריו שי' הבאים לכאן מארץ הקדש בתפקידים שונים ישפיע שכל אחד מהם יכיר אשר נוסף על תפקיד הרשמי שלו ישנו תפקיד פנימי, ובמיוחד במשך זמן המצאם בחוץ לארץ, להיות דוגמא חי' לחיי עם קדוש, כיון שזכו להיות שליחים מארץ הקדש.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from 3/15, your request for a blessing for your father, and as you requested, I have sent a letter to him.
On this occasion, since everything is by Divine Providence, I wish to express my good wishes to you that in your work here in your position from the Holy Land, you should see yourself as an emissary and representative of our holy land and as an example for it and for the lifestyle appropriate to it—in another style: that your conduct in your way of life should be such that the goodness and holiness for which Eretz HaKodesh is renowned among all nations will be emphasized and recognized in you; how much more so among the Jewish people, to whom this land was given as an eternal covenant—a covenant between the G‑d of Israel and the people of Israel.
May it be G‑d's will that you also influence your colleagues who come here from Eretz HaKodesh in various roles so that each one recognizes that besides his official position he has an inner mission—especially during their time abroad—to be a living example of the life of a holy people, since they have merited to be emissaries from Eretz HaKodesh.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that those coming from Eretz HaKodesh should view themselves as living examples of its holiness and goodness. Their conduct should inspire others and reflect their role as representatives of the Holy Land wherever they may be.
