במענה על מכתבו מיום כ' מנחם אב המודיע שהוסכם אצלו וזוג' תחי' להצטרף אל הקבוצה הנוסעים לארצנו הקדושה ת"ו, ומוסיף אשר אם תזדמן לו משרת מתמתיקה כמדומה לו שאין צריך לדחות, ומבקש ברכה על זה,
יהי רצון שיהי' כלי לברכות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ ותהי' הנסיעה כשורה ויבואו למחוז חפצם צלחה, ומה' מצעדי גבר כוננו ודרכו יחפץ.
ידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שאמר לאחד הנוסעים לארצה"ק, ת"ו, זאלסטו מאכן פון ארץ ישראל ארץ הקדושה. אין אתנו יודע בסוד הבירורים וידוע מרז"ל אין אדם יודע במה משתכר שהכוונה ג"כ לפרנסה רוחנית. אבל לכאורה פארן מאכן פון א"י ארץ קדושה עי"ז שיהי' מורה למתמתיקה דרך ארוכה היא ביותר, ומשיח צדקנו הנה זה עומד אחר כתלינו ומחכה לגמר הבירורים דעקבתא דמשיחא.
בברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה, ובנסיעה למחוז חפץ הוי' כשורה, לו ולזוג' תחי',

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 20th of Menachem Av, in which you inform that you and your wife have agreed to join the group traveling to our Holy Land, may it be rebuilt and established. You add that if you are offered a mathematics teaching position, it seems to you that there is no reason to decline, and you request a blessing for this.
May it be G‑d's will that this should be a vessel for the blessings of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, and that your journey should be proper and you should reach your desired destination successfully. "From Hashem are a man's steps established and He desires his way."
It is known the saying of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, who told one of those traveling to Eretz HaKodesh: "You should make from Eretz Yisrael a Holy Land." None among us knows the secret of birurim (spiritual refinements), and as our Sages say: "A person does not know by what he earns his livelihood," which also refers to spiritual sustenance.
However, seemingly, making from Eretz Yisrael a Holy Land by being a mathematics teacher is quite a long path. And our righteous Moshiach—behold he stands behind our wall and waits for the completion of the birurim of Ikvesa D'Meshicha (the footsteps of Moshiach).
With blessings for being inscribed and sealed for good, and for a proper journey to your desired destination for you and your wife.
