והרי אנו מתקרבים לימי י"ט כסלו וחנוכה, אשר מאורעות ותולדות הימים הללו מלמדים את כל אחד מאתנו – מסירת נפש על התורה ומצוותי'.

Your letter was received after a considerable delay. I hope that you have good news, and I will be happy to hear about it.
It is apparently unnecessary to emphasize the importance of daily life in accordance with the commandments of G‑d in the holy Torah, especially since you are now in the Holy Land, as it is stated in the Torah: "A land which the eyes of Hashem your G‑d are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to its end."
And now we are approaching the days of Yud Tes Kislev and Chanukah, whose events and history teach each one of us about self-sacrifice for Torah and its mitzvos.
