בנועם נתקבל מכתבו מב' שבט לאחרי ההפסקה הארוכה. והתקוה, כיון שאינו כותב מעניניו הפרטיים, סימן שהשלום לו ולבני ביתו שיחיו.
ושלום אמתי הקשור במנוחת נפש אמיתית, הרי בנוגע לבן אדם הוא רק באם אינו עומד במקום אחד ובמצב אחד כי אם הולך ומתקדם,
ובלשון חכמינו ז"ל
"מעלין בקודש". ואם בכל מקום הדברים אמורים, על אחת כמה וכמה בארץ הקרוי' אפילו בפי כל עמי תבל "ארץ הקודש".

Your letter from the 2nd of Shevat was pleasantly received after a long pause. The hope is that since you do not write about your personal matters, it is a sign that all is well with you and your family.
True peace, which is connected to genuine tranquility of soul, for a person comes only when he does not remain in one place or state but rather moves forward and advances—in the words of our Sages: "ma'alin bakodesh" (one ascends in holiness). If this applies everywhere, how much more so in the land called by all nations "the Holy Land."
Regarding the subject of your letter, I had an opportunity several days ago to write about this topic, and I am enclosing a copy of my letter that also addresses your concern.
May it be G‑d's will that all matters needing correction will be rectified speedily and with calmness and satisfaction.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true peace comes from ongoing spiritual advancement, especially in Eretz Yisrael. Remaining stagnant does not bring tranquility; only growth leads to inner peace and fulfillment.
