I acknowledge receipt of your letters as well as the two books: Be'er HaChassidus and the writings of Reb Nachman of Breslov (new edition), as well as the newspaper clippings. Thank you for what you have sent so far, and I request that you continue in the future. It is a great thing that you regularly print in the newspaper regarding matters of Chassidus—its teachings, guidance, and customs—the benefit of which is immeasurable.

I noticed in one of the newspaper clippings that one of my talks was printed. It is unfortunate that it was not noted that this was a copy from memory and not reviewed by me. From now on, attention should be paid to this: spoken words are not the same as how they appear in writing; especially in print, repetition should be omitted (even though orally things are repeated to strengthen a point or to introduce new perspectives). If it is printed—which will certainly be read by people with no knowledge of Chassidus—there should be at least some explanation added in parentheses, and things should be arranged from simple to complex. Since from now on it will be written that this is from listeners’ notes—a translation from another language—there is no responsibility if the transcription is not exact. Ideally, before printing, someone who is not very familiar with Chassidus should read the draft and be asked if he understands properly or needs further explanation.

It goes without saying that despite all the above, it is correct to publish these things—for this paves a path, etc.

It is surprising that until now no detailed information has been received about the farbrengen in Kfar Chabad; apparently this is because it was a joint effort. At any rate, upon receiving this letter please provide details about it—the more detailed, the better.
