נאך דעם ווי מיר האבן זיך געטראפן אין בית המדרש, האב איך ניט געהאט די מעגליכקייט צו זעהען אייך נאך אמאל, שרייב איך אייך יעצט און שיק אייך מיין ברכה פאר אייך אייער טאכטער און איידים יחיו, אז איר זאלט האבן נחת פון אייער אייניקל און זייער זון... שי' און זאלט אים מגדל זיין לתורה לחופה ולמעשים טובים.
און שטייענדיג יעצט פאר דעם יום טוב שבועות, זמן מתן תורתנו, ווערט געבראכט אין מדרש אז השי"ת האט געבעטן ערבות, און נאר נאכדעם ווי אידן האבן געגעבן ערבות: זייערע קינדער וועלן מקיים זיין די תורה, האט דענסטמאל השי"ת מסכים געווען צו געבן אידן די תורה הקדושה.
און דאס דארף זיין א מוסר השכל פאר אונז אלעמען, אז יעדערער וועלכער וויל מקבל זיין די תורה כדבעי למהוי, דארף זיך משתדל זיין אז זיינע קינדער און אייניקלעך און אויך קינדער פון אנדערע אידן, זאלן נתחנך ווערן בדרך התורה, און צו העלפן די מוסדות און די אלע וועלכע טוען אין דעם חנוך הכשר פון אידישע קינדער אינגעלאך אדער מיידעלאך אז זיי זאלן זיין גוטע פרומע אידן.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
After our meeting in the Beis Midrash, I have not had the opportunity to see you again. Therefore, I am writing to you now and sending my blessing to you, your daughter and son-in-law—may they live—that you should have nachas from your grandchild and their son... may he live. May you raise him to Torah, marriage, and good deeds.
Now, as we stand before the festival of Shavuos, the time of the giving of our Torah, it is brought in the Midrash that Hashem requested guarantors. Only after the Jews offered their children as guarantors—that their children would uphold the Torah—did Hashem agree to give them the holy Torah.
This must serve as a lesson for all of us: anyone who wishes to properly receive the Torah must strive that his children and grandchildren—and also other Jewish children—be educated in the path of Torah. One should also help support institutions and all those involved in proper education for Jewish boys and girls so they become good, observant Jews.
With blessings for a joyous festival and regards to your son-in-law and daughter—may they live—with mazal tov blessings.
