עס איז טאקע אן צווייפל שווער צו ווארטן, בפרט פאר די עלטערן פון א בן יחיד.
אבער בשעת מ'איז שטארק אין דעם בטחון, אז די ברכה וועט מקויים ווערן, העלפט עס אין צוויי אופנים: עס איז דערוויילע פיל לייכטער דאס ווארטן ביז מ'זעט עס בפועל, און וואס שטארקער דער בטחון, אלץ שנעלער קומט די ערפילונג פון דעם צדיק'ס הבטחה.
איך האף, אז איר וועט זיין שטארק אין בטחון, שטארקער נאך ווי ביז איצט, און דאס שטארקט אויך מיין זיכערקייט, אז איר וועט זען אינגיכן, אז אייער זון גייט עס פיל בעסער און בעסער אין אלע הינזיכטן.
אזוי ווי איר שרייבט, אז אייער זון שי' גייט שוין אין סקול, האף איך צו הערן אז איר באקומט גוטע רעפארטס וועגן אים.

I received your letter of September 8, and I was pleased to read in it—as you write—that you already notice your son is improving and calmer, as Dr. Wilder also said.
As I have already told you once before: since the Rebbe the Previous gave his blessing that your son will be healthy, he will certainly keep his word. It is only a matter of time. It is indeed difficult to wait, especially for parents of an only child. But when one is strong in trust that the blessing will be fulfilled, it helps in two ways: meanwhile it is much easier to wait until one sees it actually happen; and the stronger the trust, the quicker comes the fulfillment of the tzaddik's promise.
I hope you will be strong in trust—even stronger than until now—and this also strengthens my certainty that you will soon see your son doing much better and better in every respect.
As you write that your son is already attending school, I hope to hear that you are receiving good reports about him.
I conclude with wishes for a good inscription and sealing for you, your husband, and your son for a good and sweet year.
