ווען איך וועל זיין אויפן ציון פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וועל איך אים מזכיר זיין צו וואס ער באדארף.
זיכער איז איבעריג צו מזרז זיין אייך, אז איר זאלט אנזאגען אייער זון, ער זאל היטן צו לייגן תפילין אלע טאג (אויסער שבת און יום טוב) און אויב עס איז פאר אים ניט מעגליך צו לייגען די תפילין אין דער פריה, זאל ער דאס טאן אין פארלויף פון דעם גאנצן טאג ביז זון אונטערגאנג, און השי"ת זאל אים היטען אז ער זאל זיין גאנץ.
אין צוזאמענהאנג מיט דעם וואס איר זייט דער ש"ץ פאר ראש השנה און יום הכפורים, בפרט, וויל איך מעורר זיין אויף דעם וואס כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, האט געוואלט, אז די וועלכע דאוונען אלס שליח צבור פארן עמוד, און בפרט ימים נוראים, זאלן איבערקוקן דעם פירוש המלות און אויך פירוש פון די פיוטים.
און אויך אז לכל הפחות ערב ראש השנה און ערב יום כפור זאל מען זיך טובל זיין אין מקוה.
זעלבסטפארשטענדליך אז דאס איז אלעס א צוגאב צו די דינים און ענינים וועלכע זיינען פראן אין שולחן ערוך, אויף וועלכע עס איז איבעריג צו מזרז זיין אויף זיי.
אייער נדבה איז איבערגעגעבן געווארען צו דער לשכת חשאין וועלכע העלפט ארויס יחידים און מוסדות, שטילערהייט אן פרסום, בכדי ניט צו שעדיגען זיי. און דער זכות פון דער צדקה זאל ביישטיין אייך און אייערע בני בית שי' אז איר זאלט האבען אלע א כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I received your letter from Sunday stating that you are all, thank G‑d, well, and you request a blessing for your son who is in military service: When I will be at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may the memory of the righteous and holy be a blessing for us), I will mention him for whatever he needs.
It is surely unnecessary to urge you to instruct your son that he should be careful to put on tefillin every day (except Shabbos and Yom Tov), and if it is not possible for him to put on tefillin in the morning, he should do so at any time during the day until sunset. May Hashem protect him so that he remains whole.
In connection with your being the shaliach tzibbur (prayer leader) for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in particular, I wish to emphasize what my father-in-law, the Rebbe, desired: that those who serve as shaliach tzibbur at the amud—especially during the Yamim Nora'im—should review the meaning of the words as well as the explanations of the piyutim. Also, at least on Erev Rosh Hashanah and Erev Yom Kippur one should immerse in a mikveh. Of course, all this is in addition to the laws and matters already found in Shulchan Aruch, which need no further urging.
Your donation has been delivered to the Lishkas Chashain which quietly assists individuals and institutions without publicity so as not to harm them. The merit of this tzedakah should stand by you and your household so that you should have all a kesivah vachasimah tovah l'shanah tovah u'mesukah (a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year).
