I recently received your letter and was pleased to read that everything has passed peacefully with G‑d's help and that you are completely free. Also, and even more so, it made me happy to read in your letter that you are fulfilling and doing what I suggested to you.
I write "even more so" regarding the second matter because when it comes to liberation, since the Alm-ghty desires that a Jew should not have any trouble, the joy is that you received the blessing and were worthy of it. However, the second matter depends on your own will, and for this the Alm-ghty has given every Jew free choice; therefore there is a possibility that the yetzer hara might interfere and try to prevent carrying out the good deed in practice. So when you write that you are doing what I suggested and hopefully this will continue with you, this caused me special joy.
Surely you know about Yud-Tes Kislev. In any case, I am enclosing here a description about what we have printed in English. From it you will get an insight into some fundamentals of Chassidus, and I hope you will set aside time to study it. Our mutual friend Mr. Aharon Katz will surely help you with this.
I conclude with a blessing and wish that you should always be able to share good news about yourself and your family members.
