במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק קרח ובו שאלה אם כדאי להעתיק את הענינים השונים גם לשפה אחרת מלבד צרפתית.
א) הנה אם רק ישנם קוראים מבין בני ישראל בשפה איזה שתהי' כדאי להעתיק עניני דא"ח בהשפה ההיא כי ה"ז בכלל הענין דיפוצו מעיינותיך חוצה...
ג) במ"ש אודות השתדלות השגת נתינות צרפת, צריך מקודם לברר אולי ישנה אפשרית לקבלת נתינות שווייץ שמכמה טעמים טובה יותר ורק אם יתברר שזה אי אפשר או קשור בקישויים גדולים למדי, אזי יש להשתדל בהנתינות הצרפתית.

In response to your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh Korach in which you ask whether it is worthwhile to translate various matters into another language besides French.
a) If there are readers among the Jewish people in any language whatsoever, it is worthwhile to translate matters of Chassidus into that language, for this is included in the concept of "Yafutzu Maayanosecha Chutzah" (that your wellsprings should spread outward)...
c) Regarding what you wrote about efforts to obtain French citizenship: first, it is necessary to clarify whether it might be possible to obtain Swiss citizenship, which for several reasons is better. Only if it becomes clear that this is impossible or involves considerable difficulties should one pursue French citizenship.
