במענה למכתבו מי"ז שבט,
בעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבו,
וע"פ המבואר באיזה מקומן בתורת החסידות, יש לו להוסיף בזהירות בהנוגע לדברים בטלים (ועאכו"כ דבורים האסורים), ולא נצרכה אלא להוספה כי בודאי בלא"ה זהיר בזה וכן שירבה באותיות התורה והתפלה, שהרי אותיות הן ענין העור (תו"א נח, א)[1] ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכ"פ ככה, והרוחניות והגשמיות הרי יחדיו יהלכון, וק"ל.
בטח יודע משיעורי חומש תהלים ותניא הידועים ושומרם, ומובן שכל הוספה בעניני תורה ומצות בכלל מוסיפה במילוי משאלות לבב האדם לטובה הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.

- 1 מאמר לכן אמור לבני ישראל תורה אור על וארא: ולכן נקרא "ארץ טובה ורחבה", שמתרחבת והולכת עד אין קץ. וזהו, "מה צבי אין עורו מחזיק בשרו כו'". והיינו לפי שהבשר והעור גדול כל כך, שגידול העור הוא מחמת הבשר שבתוכו.

In response to your letter from the 17th of Shevat, at an auspicious time you will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, according to the content of your letter. As explained in various places in Chassidus, you should increase your caution regarding idle speech (and certainly forbidden speech), though this is only an addition since you are surely already careful in this regard. Likewise, increase your involvement with the letters of Torah and prayer, for letters are related to skin (see Torah Ohr Noach, p.1). The attribute of the Holy One, blessed be He, is measure for measure—except many times over—and spirituality and physicality go hand in hand. This is clear.
You surely know about the established daily study cycles of Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya and observe them. It is understood that every additional effort in matters of Torah and mitzvos in general increases the fulfillment of a person's heartfelt wishes for good—both materially and spiritually.

The Rebbe teaches that refining one's speech and increasing Torah study not only elevates one's spiritual state but also brings about physical healing. Spiritual growth and material well-being are deeply connected; every added effort in Torah brings blessings in both realms.
