לפלא ולתמי' על שאחרי שנדברתי אתו עמו שיקח ספרים - בחילוף - מספרי הוצאותינו בהיותו כאן, הנה על שאלתי בזה אמרו לי שלא עשה את זה ועכ"פ יעשה זה עתה ע"י שיכתוב להמל"ח איזה ספרים מהוצאתיהם מענינים אותו ואינם עדיין אצלו, ואם נצרך למילוי בקשתי זו "קבלת עול" יעזרו השי"ת שיהי' לו.
אתענין ג"כ לדעת אם ביחד עם הס' תולדות אהרן והגהות בעה"מ שער הכולל נמצאו במקום זה עוד מספריו עם הגהות שלו ות"ח מראש בעד הידיעות בזה.

I hereby confirm receipt of the books: Ma'asef Lechol HaMachanot (two volumes), Shulchan Melachim vol. 1, Sefer Darkei Chaim V'Shalom, and Toldot Aharon (bound together with Toldot Yaakov). Many thanks for this gift, and may it be G‑d's will that each one of us merits the fulfillment of our requests several times a day—that He grant us our portion in His Torah.
It is surprising and puzzling that after I spoke with him about taking books—in exchange—from our publications while he was here, when I inquired about this I was told he had not done so. In any case, he should do so now by writing to Hamelach which books from their publications interest him and are not yet in his possession. And if fulfilling my request requires "Kabbalat Ol," may Hashem help him to have it.
I am also interested to know if together with the book Toldot Aharon and Ba'al HaMa'or's glosses on Sha'ar HaKolel there are found in that place other of his books with his glosses. Many thanks in advance for information on this.
