במענה על מכתבו מיום ט' תמוז, בו כותב שקבל קבלה על שחיטת עופות (ובטח ישנו אצלו גם הודעה) ושואל אם יתעסק בזה.
הנה נכון הדבר והי' ג"כ מהראוי שיחפש דרך איך להשתלם גם בשחיטת גסות, והשי"ת יצליחו לקיים מרז"ל אין ושחט אלא ומשך לקיים גם ברוחניות היינו להמשיך את נה"ב שלו וגם בסביבתו לרשות היחיד יחידו של עולם שתוכל להתהפך לדם ובשר כבשר האדם אתם קרויים אדם על שם אדמה לעליון אדם העליון שעל הכסא.
במענה על שאלתו - אם נזהר בטבילת עזרא ויש לו שיעורים קבועים בתורת החסידות יתחיל, בל"נ, להניח תפלין דר"ת.

In response to your letter from the 9th of Tammuz, in which you write that you have accepted upon yourself the practice of shechita (ritual slaughter) of poultry (and surely you have also received notification) and you ask whether to engage in this. This is indeed proper, and it would also be fitting for you to seek a way to become proficient in cattle shechita as well. May Hashem grant you success to fulfill what our Sages say: "Ein veshachat ela umashach" (there is no 'and he slaughtered' except 'and he drew'), to fulfill this also spiritually—that is, to draw your animal soul and also your environment into the domain of the One and Only of the world so that it can be transformed into blood and flesh like human flesh—"Atem keruyim adam" (you are called man) because of "adameh le'elyon" (I will resemble the Supreme), Adam HaElyon who is upon the throne.
In response to your question—if you are careful with immersion as prescribed by Ezra and have fixed times for studying Chassidus, begin, without a vow, to put on Rabbeinu Tam tefillin.
