...b) I was pleased to hear that you are in contact with vavac"h etc. Anaf Etz Avot Mr. Shazar. My strong hope is that this will be beneficial for both of you together.

c) Regarding what you wrote about the crisis in livelihood in Eretz HaKodesh (the Holy Land), when I am at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, I will read your pidyon nefesh about this matter. But on the other hand, I am repeatedly surprised at Anash (our community), for we see with our own eyes how my father-in-law, the Rebbe, provided healing before the malady and arranged several matters there so that many among Anash could find their livelihood from them... And I mean simply matters such as the vocational school, agricultural school, as well as the farms in Kfar Chabad, and expanding activities of Reshet and Hatzalah from missionary influence, and most recently sending books from here—Kehot publications—to Eretz HaKodesh. If people would look at this with open eyes, then in addition to spiritual sustenance beyond comparison, all these would have brought actual material livelihood as well. If someone had taken a position or job in these areas, he would have gained many connections in government offices in Israel and thus eventually a source of livelihood for one person after another. Even though Chassidus explains that in the worlds of Beriah-Yetzirah-Asiyah (Biya), the world is taken literally while G‑dliness is something novel—meaning it requires proofs and explanations—here all these matters were clothed in very simple garments so as not to give room to the evil inclination which blinds even those who can see; therefore there is no room to distort the words of tzaddikim: 'Your people are all righteous...'

e) It is very surprising that although certainly Rabbi B.A.G. explained about the utmost urgency regarding bringing shipments of Kehot books from here quickly, nevertheless this has not yet been accomplished.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that opportunities for both spiritual and material livelihood are often already present if we look with open eyes and take initiative. Recognizing and acting upon these opportunities brings blessing for ourselves and others.
