איך האב יעצט באקומען אייער בריף פון כ"ד סיון (און זיינער צייט זיינען אויך ערהאלטען געווארן אייערע בריף פון ד' אייר און י"א סיון) אין וועלכען איר שרייבט וועגען דעם חלום וואס איר האט געהאט.
והנה כלך מדרך זה. הערט אויף ליגען אין חלומות. און ווי עס ווערט ערקלערט אין פילע ספרים, אז בא מענשן וואס בא זיי זיינען אלע פרטים ווי על פי התורה והמצוה, איז דענסטמאל אפילו א חלום אויף וועלכען מען האט ווייניג שליטה, האט דאס עפעס א באדייטונג און עס קען ניט זיין לבטלה - (דאך איז אפילו אין אזא פאל זאגען רז"ל, אין חלום בלא דברים בטלים) - דאגעגען בא מענשן פון אונזער דור, וואס בא זיי איז פראן פילע דבורים בטלים ועל אחת כמה וכמה מחשבות בטלות, אן א אינהאלט, ועל אחת כמה וכמה אן א אינהאלט פון תורה ומצות, איז בא די מענשן, איז עס ניט מער ווי חלומות אליין. און אמאל איז דא[ס] אויך פון דעם עצת היצר הרע צו אפרייסען דעם מענשן פון ענינים פון ווארהייט. און דעריבער ווידערהאל איך נאך אמאל, אז איר זאלט זיך ניט אריינלאזען טראכטען וועגן חלומות.
עס וואלט געווען א גלייכע זאך אז איר זאלט לאזען בודק זיין די מזוזות אין די צימערען וואו איר שלאפט, און אויך אייערע תפילין, און טאן מיט דער געהעריגקער ענערגיע וועגען א שידוך און בנוגע צו געשעפט. און וועגען דער ערשטער זאך, איז ווי איך האב שוין אייך געשריבן, ניט קלייבן צופיל. און איר מעגט זיך פארלאזען אויף די זקני אנ"ש שיחיו, און וויבאלד זיי זיינען עלטער איז ווי דער פסוק זאגט, רוב שנים יודיעו חכמה, און בפרט אז זיי קענען באטראכטען די זאך אביעקטיוו, דאגעגען דער וואס איז אינווייניג פון דער זאך קען אמאל טראכטען סוביעקטיוו. און אז איר וועט אויספאלגען דאס אלעס, זעלבסט פארשטענדלעך אלס צוגאב אויף די שיעורים פון לערנען, ווי איך האב אייך געשריבען אין די פריערדיקע בריף, וועט השם יתברך אייך העלפען אז עס וועט זיין בהצלחה בגשמיות וברוחניות און וועט קענען אנזאגען גוטע בשורות, אז איר האט אנגעהויבען צו פאלגען, און וועט זעהען אפילו בעיני בשר אז עס לויענט זיך.
ווען איך וועל זיין אויף דעם ציון הק' פון מיין שווער כ"ק אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וועל איך מזכיר זיין אייך להצלחה אין אייערע ענינים.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I have just received your letter from the 24th of Sivan (and previously also received your letters from the 4th of Iyar and the 11th of Sivan), in which you write about the dream you had. Now, turn away from this path. Stop lying in dreams. As explained in many books: for people whose every detail aligns with Torah and mitzvah observance, even a dream—over which one has little control—can have meaning and is not necessarily meaningless (yet even in such cases our Sages say "there is no dream without idle matters"). However, for people of our generation who have many idle words and even more so idle thoughts—especially those lacking Torah or mitzvah content—such dreams are nothing more than dreams themselves. Sometimes this too is a tactic of the yetzer hara to distract a person from matters of truth.
Therefore I repeat again: do not allow yourself to dwell on dreams. It would be appropriate for you to have the mezuzos in the rooms where you sleep checked, as well as your tefillin. Also act with proper energy regarding a shidduch and business matters.
Regarding the first matter—as I have already written to you—do not be overly selective. You may rely on the elder chassidim; since they are older, as the verse says: "Rov Shanim Yodiu Chochmah" (the majority of years bring wisdom), and especially since they can consider things objectively. In contrast, someone personally involved may sometimes think subjectively.
If you follow all this—in addition to your regular learning sessions as I wrote to you in previous letters—then Hashem will help you succeed both materially and spiritually. You will be able to report good news that you have begun to follow these instructions and will see tangible results even with your physical eyes.
When I am at the holy resting place (Tzion HaKadosh) of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, I will mention you for success in your matters.
