במענה על מכתבו מיום ד' סיון, בו שואל חוו"ד אודות קביעות זמן החתונה של בנם... שי', ולפלא שאינו מזכיר במכתבו כל הצעה בזה. וכיון ששואל בשם המחותנים משני הצדדים הרי לדעתי לקבוע הזמן בחדש אלול או בחדש כסלו הבע"ל. ויותר נראה לי בחדש אלול הבע"ל, ובפרט אם הזכירו שיהי' בשנת ה'תשי"ג. ואיך שיקבעו יהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ולבנין עדי עד על יסודי התורה והמצוה כפי שהם מוארים במאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות.

In response to your letter from Wednesday, Sivan 4th, in which you ask my opinion regarding setting the wedding date for your son... shiy', and it is surprising that you did not mention any suggestion in this regard in your letter. Since you are asking on behalf of both sides' mechutanim (in-laws), in my opinion, the time should be set for the month of Elul or the upcoming month of Kislev. It seems preferable to me that it be in the upcoming month of Elul, especially if it was mentioned that it will be in the year 5713. However it is set, may it be at an auspicious and successful time and lead to an everlasting edifice founded on Torah and mitzvah as they are illuminated by the light within Torah—that is, Chassidus.
