Shalom u'Vrachah!

I was pleased to receive the news that the operation went well with G‑d's help. May Hashem send you a speedy recovery and strengthen your health so you can increase your efforts in your communal work in general, and especially for the benefit of the institutions of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, even more than before.

In this week's Torah portion—Behaaloscha es haNeiros—our Sages explain the concept of "Behaaloscha," that it is only necessary to kindle the Menorah in the Beis HaMikdash, and then "sheleves oleh me'eileha" (the flame rises on its own)—the flame continues by itself. The sanctuary within every Jew's heart is also whole even now; however, one must sometimes ignite the inner fire, and then it blazes on its own.

We also often see in life that a bit of inspiration awakened within a Jew lifts him onto the right path, and from there he continues on his own. For a Jew, spirituality and physicality are intertwined. I hope and wish for you that also in physical matters it should be so—that just as the doctors have successfully performed the operation with G‑d's help, this should be the beginning of an improvement in health; things should keep getting better so you can further increase your public service with proper health and with abundance both materially and spiritually.
