הגיעני מכתבו (בלי הוראת זמן הכתיבה) בו כותב אשר בקשר עם התאחדות... הנה זקוק הוא לברכה לביצור והגדלת מצבו שם בקשר להשנויים העלולים להתהוות לרגלי התאחדות זו.
הנה למותר להעירו על מאמר רז"ל לא ברא הקב"ה בעולמו דבר אחד לבטלה, ובמילא ניתנים לכל אחד ואחד מאתנו הכוחות והאפשרויות שיוכל על ידם לבצע ולמלא שליחותו ותפקידו בעלמא דין. וגודל הכוחות והאפשריות הם בהתאם להתפקיד. אלא מכיון שהתפקיד המוטל על כל אחד מאתנו הוא דבר שבקדושה, הנה הרשות והיכולת נתונה להגדילו, ועל פי מרז"ל כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, הנה כשהאדם לוקח על עצמו תוספת שליחות הרי בזה גופא מגדיל הוא הצנורות והכלים דרך שם נמשכים אליו הכוחות והאפשריות מלמעלה.
ויהי רצון מהשי"ת שגם הוא יחליט בעצמו להגדיל עבודתו והשתדלותו בהחזקת היהדות והפצת חיבת התורה והמצוות בכלל, ותורת החסידות מנהגי' והדרכותי' ויסודותי' בפרט, אשר סוף סוף זהו גזע מחצבתו, במילא עיקר תפקידו הפרטי. ובדרך ממילא תתגדל ותתחזק גם כן עבודתו וחשיבותו ב... ובעסקנותו בכלל.

I received your letter (without indication of when it was written) in which you write that regarding the unification..., you require a blessing for strengthening and increasing your situation there in connection with the changes that may occur as a result of this unification.
It is unnecessary to remind you of our Sages' statement: 'The Holy One, blessed be He, did not create anything in His world for naught,' and therefore each of us is given the strengths and possibilities by which we can carry out and fulfill our mission and role in this world. The greatness of these strengths and possibilities corresponds to the task itself. Since the task assigned to each of us is a matter of holiness, permission and ability are granted to increase it; as our Sages say: 'Whoever adds, they add to him.' Thus, when a person takes upon himself an additional mission, he thereby increases the channels and vessels through which strengths and possibilities are drawn down to him from Above.
May it be G‑d's will that you too decide on your own to increase your work and effort in supporting Judaism and spreading love for Torah and mitzvos in general, and Chassidus—its customs, guidance, and foundations—in particular. After all, this is ultimately your root source; therefore it is your main personal mission. Consequently, your work and importance in... as well as your communal involvement overall will also naturally grow stronger.
