במענה על מכתבו מה' מ"ח, בו מודיע אשר חוות דעת עוד שני רופאים מומחים מייעצים להסיר את העין[1], ויש בזה שני אופנים, או להחליפה כולה בשל זכוכית או רק להחליף את האישון,
הנה לכאורה אם מוכרח החליפין טוב להחליף כולה, ובכ"ז גם בזה יתייעץ עם הרופאים הנ"ל וכהוראתם יעשה, והשי"ת יצליחו שיהי' הנתוח באופן טוב ויחזור לבריאותו בקרוב ויוכל לשגשג ולהוסיף אומץ בלימוד תורת הנגלה והחסידות, אשר זה ישמש ג"כ צנור וכלי להמשכת וקבלת ברכות השי"ת בכל.

In response to your letter from the 5th of Menachem Av, in which you inform that the opinion of two additional expert doctors is to remove the eye [1], and there are two ways to do this: either to replace the entire eye with a glass one or only to replace the pupil. Seemingly, if replacement is necessary, it is better to replace the whole eye. Nevertheless, even in this matter you should consult with the aforementioned doctors and act according to their instructions. May Hashem grant you success so that the surgery will go well and you will soon return to health, enabling you to thrive and gain strength in studying both revealed Torah and Chassidus. This itself will also serve as a conduit and vessel for drawing down and receiving all of Hashem's blessings.
