I received your two letters, along with the attached letter from Gluskin to the first one (to whom I will write separately), thank you very much. Please forgive the delay in my response until now; it is due to the heavy workload that accumulated while I was away from here, and even now not all of it has been completed.

a) I have inquired and searched several times regarding your question in your letter to my father-in-law the Rebbe. For some reason, the letter was lost but was only found yesterday.

b) As promised, I mentioned before my father-in-law the Rebbe your request regarding Yisrael ben Beila HaKohen from Nevel, and also at an auspicious time—on the festival of redemption Yud-Beis Tammuz. Of course, I said that this was at your initiative and my intention was so that his name would be brought up for remembrance (see my father-in-law's printed letter in Hatamim vol. 2 p. 73 or in Kuntres Mikhtav HaRishon p. 20).

c) Thank you for the good news about your brother-in-law's arrival with his family—may they live—and about the expansion of Beit Rivka. Surely you will strive for it to continue growing as is the wish of my father-in-law the Rebbe.

d) According to your suggestion that you help with these matters, I ask that you take all the packages of books sent to me in Paris at the address of 10 Rue Dieudonné and inform me what is found in them; then I will write you what to do with the books. Thank you in advance.

e) For the festival of redemption a book "Toldot Maharash" was published and I instructed that a copy be sent to you.

f) Please inform R.M. Itkin that I immediately delivered all the vessels and parochet to my father-in-law the Rebbe. It would be proper for R.M. to write out the entire sequence regarding these vessels and any information he has about them either addressed to me or directly to my father-in-law's secretariat.

g) Please notify me again of your father's exact yahrzeit date—whether it is 20 Menachem Av (August 9) before sunset or after. Perhaps this can be clarified by asking Yaakov Yosef Raskin etc., who was there at that time.

Please convey regards to our friend Harav vavac"h etc. Maharshalbatz as per his request; I mentioned him on Yud-Beis Tammuz before my father-in-law requesting a blessing for his business affairs.

On Yud-Beis Tammuz this year my father-in-law attended the farbrengen for several hours, and surely his telegram for Yud-Beis Tammuz arrived on time.
