Some time ago I wrote to you. Not being certain that the letter arrived, I am writing again.

This letter is being written to you by Mendel Horenstein's brother-in-law. I come to you with the following request: A letter has arrived here from one Leah Tsibulyarz, now Yana Tsibulska. She writes that in April of '42... from the Otwock ghetto, the Horensteins escaped into the forest. Is this true?

My sister-in-law Mrs. Gurary told me that you were in Otwock at that time; therefore, I assume you know what happened with them then.

I hope you will answer me as soon as possible and I send you my heartfelt thanks in advance.

We have not yet told my father-in-law, Menachem Schneerson shlita, about all this.
