אתחיל בבקשת סליחה על ההפסק הארוך בין מכתבי אחד לחברו והוא מפני רוב הטרדות שונות ומשונות, ובודאי יאמר סלחתי.
מכתבו מחדש מנ"א בעתו קבלתי, וחכיתי להעתק הקונטרס ע"ד לה"ק והעתקת חלק מהמכתבים אבל לע"ע לא נתקבל, ובודאי ימלא הבטחתו כפי האפשרי, כן לא ענה על שאלתי בענין הסקירה ע"ד עסקנות הצבורית של כ"ק אדנ"ע בשנים האחרונות.
ת"ח בעד הערותיו באיזה השמטות בתורת שלום ס' השיחות תקותי אשר לעת הזאת כבר עבר על כל הספר, ומה טוב הי' ולתועלת הרבים אם הי' כותב את כל ההשמטות או שינוי הנוסחאות על הסדר (השנים או העמודים) בגליון בפ"ע ובהוראת המקור (שמע בעצמו או מפי אחרים, מצא ברשימה) כי תקותי אשר סו"ס יעלה בידינו להו"ל מילואים ותיקונים לס' שיחות הנ"ל, ויהי' גם לכ' חלק בזה
- ס' השיחות שנשלח לו ומבלי לחכות להזמנתו הוא מידעי את החביבות של שיחות אלו אצלו, ובתקותי ובטחוני אשר ימנה בין אלו שיקחו חלק בהו"ל כתבי כ"ק אדנ"ע ע"י שיודיע את השמור בזכרונו מענינים תוכניים הנוגעים לרבים, ישלח העתקות והשמטות הנ"ל וכיו"ב.
צויתי לשלוח לו מהוצאותי[נ]ו בזמן האחרון (הוספה לס' דרמ"צ ובד קדש) ובטח קבלם במועדם, ואם יש לו הערות בזה מטובו להודיעני ובתנאי כנ"ל, אשר לא יקפיד עלי אם יתאחר המענה שלי וידינני לכף זכות.

I will begin by asking forgiveness for the long interval between one letter of mine and another, due to many and varied preoccupations. Surely you will say "I have forgiven." I received your recent letter from Menachem Av in its time, and I waited for the copy of the kuntres about Lashon HaKodesh and the copy of some letters, but until now it has not arrived. Surely you will fulfill your promise as much as possible. Also, you did not answer my question regarding the overview about the public activities of the Rebbe Rayatz in recent years.
Thank you very much for your comments regarding certain omissions in Torat Shalom (Sefer HaSichos). I hope that by now you have already reviewed the entire book. How good it would be—and beneficial to many—if you would write all the omissions or changes in wording in order (by year or page) on a separate sheet, indicating the source (whether you heard it yourself or from others, or found it in a list), because I hope that eventually we will be able to publish supplements and corrections to this Sefer HaSichos. You will also have a share in this—the Sefer HaSichos was sent to you without waiting for your request because I know how dear these talks are to you. I hope and trust that you will be among those who take part in publishing the writings of the Rebbe Rayatz by informing us of what is preserved in your memory regarding content relevant to many; please send copies and omissions as mentioned above and similar items.
I instructed that you be sent from our recent publications (the supplement to Sefer Derech Mitzvosecha and Bad Kodesh), and surely you received them on time. If you have any comments about them, please let me know—on condition as above: do not be upset if my reply is delayed and judge me favorably.

Perhaps you have or know someone who has explanations, comments, etc., on Tanya from early chassidim. It is our plan to publish Tanya (of course page by page) with added references, notes, comparison to the first edition, etc.
