באשר כמ"ע הוא כעת היחידי בעירו אשר מכירים אנו בו למכיר באחריותו בעד החינוך הכשר בעירו בכלל ובעד קיומם של מוסדות החנוך העומדים תחת נשיאותו של מו"ח כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א בפרט, פונים אנו אליו בענין כדלקמן.
בטח ידוע לפניו כי בשנה העברה הסכמנו לפתיחת בי"ס לנערות בית רבקה או בית שרה בדארטשעסטער תחת הנהלת המל"ח, ובהחלטתינו סמכנו על ידידינו שי' דהתם, שישתדלו בהשגת האמצעים הכספים להוצאת ביה"ס הנ"ל, שיהי' ביה"ס חי נושא את עצמו, הסכמנו במשך זמן קצר לתת לביה"ס - בתור הלואה - חלק מתקציבם בכדי לאפשר לשלם את שכירות המורים במועדו.
והנה עבר כבר די זמן לבסוס המצב הכספי של ביה"ס בע"נ ולדאבוננו מודיעים לנו רק, ע"ד הוצאות ולא ע"ד הכנסות ואיננו רואים גם את ההתענינות הדרושה בסדור הענין.
ההוצאות של ביה"ס אינן כ"כ גדולות ובהתחשב עוד עם ההכנסה משכר למוד מהתלמידות רואים אנו שכלל לא יכבד עליכם להשיג את הסכום הדרוש, בעזרת ליידיס אוקזילערי שייסדו עבור ביה"ס או הכנסה ממקורים אחרים.
עכ"פ עליכם לדעת כי המל"ח מצבו אינו יכול לשלח המחאות למורה מבלי לקבל הכסף הדרוש לזה מכם.
כמ"ע בטח יכיר, כי לבד שהאחריות בעד חנוך הבנות גדולה ביותר וכמש"נ חכמות נשים בנתה ביתה ועיין שמ"ר פ' [כ"ח] שקיום מ"ת הי' תלוי בנשים הנה קיומם של כל מוסדות החנוך הכשרים והצלחתם בחנוך תלמידיהם תלוי הרבה מאד בקיום ביה"ס לחנוך הנערות.
נבקש מאד את כמ"ע כי למרות טרדותיו יואיל נא לאחז תיכומ"י באמצעים הדרושים לבסוסו של מצב ביה"ס לנערות, ומכיון שאין אחרים שיעמדו בראש המפעל הזה, בטח מן השמים הטילו עליו עבודה קדושה זו ולכן גם ניתנים לו הכחות למלאת שליחותו...

Since you are currently the only one in your city whom we know to be responsible for proper education there in general, and specifically for maintaining the educational institutions under the leadership of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, we are turning to you regarding the following matter.
You are surely aware that last year we agreed to open a girls' school—either Beis Rivka or Beis Sarah—in Dorchester under the administration of Melamed Chabad. In our decision, we relied on our friends there to work on securing financial means for running this school so that it would be a self-sustaining institution. For a short period, we agreed to provide part of their budget as a loan to enable timely payment of teachers' salaries.
Now quite some time has passed for establishing the school's financial situation, and unfortunately we are only being informed about expenses and not about income. We also do not see sufficient interest in organizing this matter. The school's expenses are not so large; considering also the tuition income from students, it is clear that it should not be difficult for you to obtain the necessary sum with help from a Ladies Auxiliary founded for the school or from other sources.
In any case, you must know that Melamed Chabad cannot send checks to teachers without first receiving the necessary funds from you.
You surely recognize that aside from the great responsibility for girls' education—as it is written: 'Chochmot Nashim Banta Veita' (The wisdom of women builds her house), and see Shemot Rabbah Parsha [28] where receiving the Torah depended on women—the existence and success of all kosher educational institutions depends greatly on maintaining a girls' school.
We strongly request that despite your many obligations you kindly take immediate steps to stabilize the situation of the girls' school. Since there is no one else to lead this project, surely Heaven has assigned you this sacred task and therefore grants you the strength to fulfill your mission...
