קבלתי מכתבו מיום ד' ר"ח מנ"א וכנראה אשר לא עשו כפי שכתבתי במכתבי, ועתה מתאונן על מצב הדברים שאינו כדבעי וכו'! והנה כיון שהדבר כבר נעשה הנה מה תועלת שאגיד מוסר כיון שכבר עשה מעשה וכו' ואולי עכ"פ יהי' לתועלת על להבא שצ"ל או שלא שואלים, ואם שואלים הרי טוב לשמוע כההוראה, ובהנוגע לפועל הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שהוא וזוגתו שיחיו יצאו יד"ח בהעגמ"נ שהי' עד עתה ומכאן ולהבא יהי' בהצלחה לקרב את לבן של בני ובנות ישראל לאבינו שבשמים. תקותי אשר אגודת חב"ד תעזור לו בהלואה ע"ס מסוים ויה"ר שיהי' להצלחה,

I received your letter from Wednesday, Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av. It seems that my previous instructions were not followed, and now you are lamenting that the situation is not as it should be, etc.!
Since the matter has already been done, what benefit is there in my giving rebuke now that the action has already taken place? Perhaps at least it will be useful for the future—that either one should not ask (if one does not intend to follow), or if one asks, it is good to listen to the instruction. Regarding practical matters: may it be G‑d's will that you and your wife fulfill your obligation through the distress experienced until now, and from here on may you have success in bringing the hearts of Jewish sons and daughters closer to our Father in Heaven.
I hope that Agudas Chabad will assist you with a loan for a certain amount, and may it be with success. With blessings for success and that you share good news soon.
