בנועם קבלתי יקרתו מכ"א תמוז, ונהניתי במאד מהידיעות המשמחות אשר בו, כי מינו מנהל דתי וירא שמים בעד אוצר התורה, ועקרו ושברו תעמולת החפשים, גונבי וגוזלי נפשות בני ובנות ישראל ומסיתים ומדיחים אותם מאביהם שבשמים, והנני מקוה כי תלכו בכוחכם זה ולא [ת]תנו להם תקומה.
ומה שלבו מהסס שמא ח"ו יזיקו לו בגלל מלחמתו כנגד המסיתים הנ"ל, הנה אל יחשוש לזה כלל, ואדרבה, כי הלא אמרו רז"ל המקיים נפש אחת בישראל כאילו קיים עולם מלא, ועל אחת כמה וכמה אשר השתדלות בהצלת כמה וכמה נפשות בישראל אשר כמ"ע שי' מתמסר לזה, הנה אין לשער גודל הזכות וגודל השכר שבזה, שהם מהדברים שלא רק הקרן קיימת לעולם הבא, אלא אדם אוכל פירותיהם גם בעולם הזה, להמשיך ברכה והצלחה לו ולזוג' ולבנו שי' בהמצטרך להם.
ונשען על מרז"ל שמצוה גוררת מצוה ומעלין בקדש, הנני בטוח אשר יוסיף מע"כ שי' כח ועוז בעבודתו בקדש, אשר עי"ז יוסיף תוספות ברכה והצלחה הן בענינים הכלליים והן בעניניו הפרטיים.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your esteemed letter from the 21st of Tammuz, and I greatly enjoyed the joyful news it contained: that a G‑d-fearing and religious director was appointed for Otzar HaTorah, and that you have uprooted and broken the propaganda of the secularists—those who steal and kidnap the souls of Jewish boys and girls, inciting them away from their Father in Heaven. I hope you will continue with this strength and not allow them any foothold.
As for your concern that perhaps, G‑d forbid, you might be harmed because of your battle against these inciters—do not worry about this at all. On the contrary! Our Sages say: 'Whoever saves one soul of Israel is as if he saved an entire world.' All the more so when one strives to save many Jewish souls—as you are so devoted to this—one cannot estimate the greatness of this merit and reward. These are among those things whose principal reward remains for the World to Come, but a person also enjoys their fruits in this world—bringing blessing and success to you, your wife, and your son in all their needs.
Relying on our Sages' teaching that 'one mitzvah brings another mitzvah' and 'we ascend in holiness,' I am confident that you will add even more strength and vigor in your sacred work. Through this you will increase blessing and success both in communal matters and in your personal affairs.
Enclosed is a list connected to the Festival of Redemption—the 12th–13th of Tammuz—of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal. Surely it will interest you. The deeds of leaders and fathers are a sign for their children and students: just as their self-sacrifice in spreading Torah brought success and days of redemption for Israel, so too our own self-sacrifice—even if it does not reach their level—adds Divine light within Israel: in one's home, surroundings, community, and country.
