Shalom u'Vrachah in abundance!
To your gathering, G‑d willing on Monday, the 6th of Menachem Av, to continue and successfully expand the United Emergency Campaign in Chicago and its surroundings, I wish you that the meeting should bring about the desired results in actuality and with success.
It is well known to all the saying of our Sages: Akhal Bi'Asarah Shechinta Sharya ("Whenever ten gather, the Shechinah rests"); that when ten Jews assemble together, the Divine Presence dwells there. Although the whole earth is filled with His glory, yet where ten from Israel are present, the indwelling of the Shechinah is more revealed—especially when Jews gather for a matter of Torah and mitzvos, and even more so when they come together for an issue of kosher education which unites Torah and mitzvos together.
Then there is an especially great Divine revelation expressed in various ways. One of these is that it inspires the right ideas on how to organize the work and influence others, as well as the proper approach regarding one's own participation: through generous financial contribution, tireless personal involvement, and warm-hearted participation with one's soul.
I hope and am certain that the leader of all these institutions—my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal—will arouse abundant mercy so that this aforementioned work will proceed with great success. He will also bestow blessing and success upon all those participating in this gathering in particular and all involved in the campaign in general—in whatever each one needs for himself and his household.
