זה מכבר שמעתי על דבר פעולותיו הטובות בשדה החנוך המקרב את לבם של בני ובנות ישראל לאביהם שבשמים, וידוע פסק רז"ל (שלהי תענית) כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, אשר אחד הפירושים בזה הוא, שכל המוסיף בעינים דתורה ומצות מוסיפים לו מלמעלה, הן בהיכולת להגדיל פעולותיו בתורה ומצות והן בגידול רצונו לזה שהולך הוא בהנ"ל מחיל אל חיל, ובפרט בעבודתו עתה שהוא מפקח בכפרים מושב אחינו בני ובנות ישראל, הנה חוב וזכות קדוש הועמס על שכמו על ידי השגחה העליונה, להביא ולהעיר ולהאיר את מושבות בני ישראל בנר מצוה ותורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות, אשר על ידי זה ממשיכים גם כן ברכה והצלחה בעניניהם הגשמיים, וכמ"ש בתורה, אם בחקותי תלכו - שזה מדובר בלימוד התורה, וכמש"נ בספרא, והובא בפירוש רש"י - ואת מצותי תשמרו - שזהו מצות לא תעשה, וכמרז"ל כל מקום שנאמר השמר, פן, ואל, ה"ז בלא תעשה - ועשיתם אותם - זהו מדבר במצות עשה - ומבטיח הכתוב, ונתתי גשמיכם - ולא עוד אלא שאתן אותם - בעתם, וגו', ואשרי חלקו אשר הוא אחד משלוחיו של המקום ב"ה למלאות תפקיד הנ"ל בעולמו, ויהי רצון מהשי"ת אשר בקרוב ממש תומשך ג"כ ברכה בתוספת והצלחה בעניניו הפרטים, היינו שעל פי הבטחת רבינו אדמו"ר הזקן (תורה אור בתחלתו) יעשו מוחו ולבו זכים אלף פעמים ככה ויוכל להוסיף בקביעות עתים בתורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות ולעלות מחיל אל חיל, ובקרוב ממש יסתדר באופן המתאים לפניו בענין השידוכים בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד,

Your letter from the 18th of Tammuz was received. Some time ago, I heard about your good activities in the field of education that bring the hearts of Jewish boys and girls closer to their Father in Heaven. It is well known what our Sages ruled (end of Taanis): "Whoever increases is given more." One explanation is that whoever increases in matters of Torah and mitzvos is given more from Above—both the ability to expand his activities in Torah and mitzvos, and an increased desire for this, so that he advances from strength to strength.
Especially now in your work supervising the villages where our fellow Jews live, a sacred obligation and privilege has been placed on your shoulders by Divine Providence: to bring, awaken, and illuminate the settlements of the Jewish people with the candle of mitzvah and the light of Torah—and the radiance within Torah, which is Chassidus. Through this, one also draws down blessing and success in material matters as it says in the Torah: "If you will walk in My statutes"—which refers to Torah study (as explained in Sifra and Rashi)—"and you will keep My commandments"—these are prohibitive commandments (as our Sages say: wherever it says 'beware,' 'lest,' or 'do not,' it refers to prohibitions)—"and do them"—this refers to positive commandments. The verse assures us: "I will give your rains... at their proper time," etc.
Fortunate is your lot that you are one of G‑d's emissaries to fulfill this role in His world. May it be G‑d's will that very soon you will also receive increased blessing and success in your personal affairs—that is, according to the promise of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe (at the beginning of Torah Or), your mind and heart will become a thousand times more refined so you can add fixed times for both revealed Torah study and Chassidus, rising ever higher. Very soon may everything regarding shidduchim be arranged for you appropriately both materially and spiritually together.
