בנועם קבלתי מכתבו הקודם מערב חגה"ש, בו מודיע אשר נכנסו לדירה החדשה, ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר יהי' משנה מקום משנה מזל לטובה הן בבריאות הנכונה והן בשאר ענינים הנצרכים להם ואקוה להשי"ת שיוכל להודיעני בשו"ט בזה.
ב) לפלא שאינו מזכיר מאומה ע"ד הסדר שנעשה בישיבת תל אביב, אשר בטח קבלו הוספה והלימודים הולכים ומתנהגים כדבעי, וכבר אמרתי כ"פ שכשמוסיפים במספר התלמידים למטה הרי מוסיפים גם מלמעלה בהשגת האמצעים הגשמים הנצרכים, ואחכה לבשו"ט אשר הגדיל השי"ת גבולם בתלמידים טובים ומצליחים בת"ת ביראת שמים.
ג) בשאלתו בענין לימודי חול בישיבתם, הנה בכלל הוא מהענינים שאין להדר בהם, וההידור בזה יגונה, קשה לי להגיד פרטים בזה כיון שאיני יודע סדר הלימודים בזה עתה וכן הדרישה שיש בזה, אבל כבר באה העת אז זיי זאלן זיין ברייטער בא זיך, ובאמת הי' מהראוי שהם יהיו המתחילים בהתפשטות זו כיון שה' אתנו הרי הפסוק מסיים אל תיראום, ובפרט שרואים במוחש איך שמצליחים בכל ענין שעושים באמת ובלי פניות ואף בענינים כאלו, שכל המביני מדע כביכול ומכש"כ אלו שיש להם מהלכים מאחורי הפרגוד אמרו מתחלה שא"א הדבר וסו"ס הצליחו, הרי עאכו"כ אז עס דארף קומען די ברייטקייט מצד זה ובפרט בענינים שכ"ק נשיאינו זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע החשיבו זה כעיקרים וד"ל.
ד) ת"ח ת"ח על הספור מה שאמר כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע להר"ש גרונם ע"ה ובטח אם יש בזכרונו עוד מהני מילי מעלייתא יכתבם, ומוסג"פ ר"ד למנחמי ביום י"ט אייר והשי"ת יזכה את כאו"א מאתנו להשמיע איש לרעהו אך טוב תכה"י...

I received your previous letter from before the holiday with pleasure, in which you inform me that you have moved into a new home. May it be the will of Hashem that 'a change of place brings a change of fortune' for good, both in proper health and in all other necessary matters. I hope to hear good news about this.
b) It is surprising that you did not mention anything about the arrangements made at the Tel Aviv yeshiva. Surely there has been growth and the studies are proceeding as they should. I have already said many times that when we increase the number of students below, there is also an increase from above in obtaining the necessary material means. I await good news that Hashem has expanded your boundaries with good students who succeed in Torah study and fear of Heaven.
c) Regarding your question about secular studies in your yeshiva: In general, this is something that should not be pursued with extra stringency; such stringency is undesirable. It is difficult for me to comment on specifics since I do not know the current curriculum or requirements. However, the time has come for you to be more confident in yourselves. In truth, it would be appropriate for you to lead this expansion since 'Hashem is with us,' as the verse concludes: 'Do not fear them.' Especially as we see clearly how success comes in every matter done sincerely and without ulterior motives—even in matters where all so-called experts (and certainly those with inside influence) initially said it was impossible—yet ultimately succeeded. All the more so should there be confidence from this perspective, especially regarding matters our revered leaders considered fundamental—and that's enough said.
d) Thank you very much for sharing what our Rebbe (the Rebbe Rashab), of blessed memory, told Reb Shmuel Gronem of blessed memory. Surely if you remember any more such valuable stories, please write them down. Enclosed is a letter for those comforting on Yud Tes Iyar. May Hashem grant each one of us to share only good news with one another soon...
