מוסג"פ הקונטרס לחנוכה. ויה"ר אשר יאיר בו את כל סביבתו באור תורה ובמאור שבתורה באופן דמוסיף והולך, וכידוע דחנוכה ר"ת ח"נ והלכה כבית הלל, שהוסיף כמה גרים בישראל ע"י הנהגתו.
וכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע הכ"מ הורה לנו גם בזה את הדרך, לכל אחד ואחת מאתנו, כי במשך ימי חייו חיותו בעלמא דין,
הי' הולך ומדליק את הנרות דבני ובנות ישראל, נר הוי' נשמת אדם,
הי' מוסיף והולך בהדלקתו זו מזמן לזמן ומשנה לשנה,
הדלקתו זו היתה על פתח ביתו (אבל) מבחוץ, כדי שהנרות יאירו את השוק, מקום חשך ואפילה כי שקעה החמה,
ומכבר הבטיחו אותנו רז"ל, אשר ברכה שרוי' בהדלקת נרות זו, ובלבד שיעשה אותה האדם בכונה רצוי' כונה פנימית, וכלשונם:
הנרות לעולם אל מול פני המנורה יאיר וכל הברכות שנתתי לך לברך את בני אינן בטלין לעולם.
בברכת חנוכה שיהי' האור מוסיף הולך ואור עד נכון היום, הוא יום הגאולה,

Shalom u'Vrachah!
Enclosed is the booklet for Chanukah. May it be G‑d's will that you illuminate your entire surroundings with the light of Torah and the luminary within Torah in a manner of ever-increasing growth. As is known, Chanukah is an acronym for 'chet' and 'nun', and the law follows Beit Hillel, who increased converts to Israel through his conduct.
And my revered father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe—may his merit protect us—also showed us the way in this regard. Throughout his life in this world, he would go and kindle the lights of Jewish sons and daughters—'Ner Hashem Nishmat Adam' (the candle of G‑d is the soul of man)—constantly increasing in this kindling from time to time and year to year. His lighting was at the entrance to his house (but) facing outward so that the candles would illuminate the marketplace—a place of darkness—because the sun had set.
Our Sages have long assured us that blessing rests upon this kindling of lights, provided a person performs it with proper intent—with inner intention. As they say: 'The candles shall always shine toward the face of the Menorah,' and 'All blessings I have given you to bless My children are never nullified.'
With a blessing for Chanukah that the light should continually increase until it becomes full daylight—the day of redemption.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spreading light through Torah and Chassidus should be constant and ever-increasing, especially during Chanukah. When done with sincere inner intent, this brings lasting blessing to oneself and others.
