Your letter from the 27th of Kislev was just received, describing your farbrengen on the past Yud Tes Kislev, and concluding that you decided to hold a parlor meeting this coming Wednesday at the home of Mr. Wexler, with Mr. Plet as chairman. May your strength be straight in this; although it is a pity for all the time that has passed without such things being put into action, we do not cry over the past—as long as from now on you act and strive with proper energy according to the great importance of these matters.

Enclosed is a copy of my letter to Mr. Wexler and Mr. Plet. It is appropriate to publicize the content of my letter among those participating in the gathering, etc.

You ask in your letter about traveling from Los Angeles immediately after the meeting so as to be in New York for the yahrzeit. In general, it is correct that you wish to be here for the yahrzeit. As for when to travel from Los Angeles, this depends on the results of the meeting. For it is obvious that even after this meeting it will still be necessary to bring its decisions and fundraising into actual effect, and I am concerned that if you are not present overseeing them, who knows what tangible results will come from it? Only after the meeting and seeing how things proceed can you decide when to leave Los Angeles.

And another matter: It seems I have already told you that it would be proper for there to be a group of Avrechim Tmimim in Los Angeles—energetic individuals—so that they gradually gather around themselves Anash and those connected with Anash, so that Anash in Los Angeles and its surroundings will take their rightful place. Therefore, I request you inform me if there is a possibility for Anash to establish themselves there as poultry or cattle shochtim or similar roles—the rental costs, etc., etc.

Please convey the content of this letter also to R' L.Y.L. Poizner or show him this very letter, because due to many preoccupations I do not know when I will be able to answer him specifically regarding his letter.

You mention in your letter R' Shraga Feivish Weiler; surely you know that his son is a public activist and very wealthy, giving certain sums to his father for distribution to charity and institutions as his father sees fit. When I was at the resting place of my father-in-law, the previous Rebbe hk"m, I mentioned him for good; thus included in this is also success at this week's meeting in particular and all his communal work in general—which are also channels for blessing and success in his personal matters.
