מעות חטים איז פארבונדן מיט דעם אויסרוף פון כל דכפין ייתי וייכול כל דצריך ייתי ויפסח וואס איז די התחלה פון דער פייערונג פון פסח. דאס הייסט, אז איידער מיר הייבן אליין אן דעם סדר, זאגן מיר, אז אלע וועלכע נויטיקן זיך וועט מען זיי געבן אלץ וואס זיי דארפן. דערנאך גייען מיר צום סדר. דאס גיט אונז דעם זכות צו האבן אן אמת'ן זמן חירותנו, און דאס איז איינער פון די ענינים וואס מ'טוט אויף מיט צדקה בכלל און מעות חטים בפרט, וואס א סך מער ווי מ'טוט אויף פאר יענעם מיט דער צדקה אדער מעות חטים, טוט מען אויף א סך מער פאר זיך אליין, ווארום דורך דרויף איז מען זוכה אז מ'ווערט באפרייט פון דאגות גשמיות ורוחניות און מ'האט דעם אמתן זמן חירותנו יעדערער בפרט, און - במהרה בימינו - וועלן מיר זוכה זיין צום זמן חירותנו הכללי, השי"ת זאל אונז אלעמען ארויסנעמען פון גלות דורך משיח צדקנו, וואס וועט אונז ברענגען די גאולה האמיתית והשלימה.

Through Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"m ish rav pealim etc. Moreinu HaRav Reb Meshulam Zalman Shaechter shiyichyeh HaKohen, I received your participation in Maos Chitim before Pesach, and the receipt is attached.
I ask that you convey my thanks and blessing to the donors and organizers and their families.
Maos Chitim is connected with the proclamation of 'Kol Dichfin Yeisei Veyeichol Kol Ditzrich Yeisei Veyifsach' ("Let all who are hungry come and eat; let all who are in need come and celebrate Pesach") which marks the beginning of the Pesach celebration. This means that before we begin our own Seder, we declare that anyone in need will be given everything they require. Only then do we proceed with our own Seder.
This gives us the merit to experience a true Zman Cheiruseinu (time of our freedom), and this is one of the effects achieved through tzedakah in general and Maos Chitim in particular: much more than what one does for another through tzedakah or Maos Chitim, one accomplishes for oneself. For through this act one merits to be freed from material and spiritual worries and to have a true Zman Cheiruseinu personally; and—speedily in our days—we will merit the general Zman Cheiruseinu when Hashem will take us all out of exile through Moshiach Tzidkeinu, who will bring us the true and complete redemption.
