Cheshvan 10: The Alter Rebbe Called Atzilus "Above"

This Hayom Yom relates that the Alter Rebbe used to refer to Atzilus as "Above," and that when writing, he was so overcome with emotion that he could not write more than "Atzi—".

דֶער רֶבִּי^[1] פְלֶעגְט זָאגֶען אוֹיף אֲצִילוּת "אוֹיבֶּען". מֶען דֶערְצֵיילְט אַז אִין כְּתָב פְלֶעגְט עֶר פוּן הִתְרַגְּשׁוּת, מֶער וִוי "אֲצִי" נִיט קֶענֶען אָנְשְׁרַייבֶּען.

The Rebbe^[1] used to refer to Atzilus (the World of Emanation) as "Above." It is told that when writing, he was so overcome with emotion that he could not write more than "Atzi—".
