I acknowledge receipt of your book "Ideas on the Series," as well as the excerpt from the periodical, and mazal tov on its publication in print. Surely you are taking the necessary steps regarding its promotion in appropriate ways. It is surprising that you did not take advantage of the semiannual gathering of the Rabbinical Association held last week—there, people gathered from several synagogues, etc. It is also surprising that the book lacks a preface, which is contrary to common practice in such cases; especially for a book like this it is particularly important—a preface should immediately make it clear that the book can be used for sermons, since this is the most sought-after material in these places. Although to some extent this can be supplemented by critical articles that you will try to have published about it, obviously this is not comparable to having at least a few lines about this in the book itself, whether in the introduction or even on the title page...

May it be G‑d's will that everyone merits that both his intentions and actions are desirable and aligned with their inner purpose—and the main point is spreading the wellsprings outward.
