b) Regarding the Lag BaOmer discourse by R. D., it seems worthwhile to print it as soon as possible and distribute it among the students for whom it is relevant. Even though the content relates to the days of Sefirah and Chag HaShavuos, its moral lesson applies throughout the entire year, as is obvious. Especially since Haraha"ch R. M. Lipsker is requesting some words of inspiration for the students, perhaps it would be good to print several copies on special paper with a unique cover to be given as a prize to outstanding students, in addition to the regular printed version that will be distributed in the usual ways...

d) Regarding what you wrote about the inner aspects and guidance of the students: do not let your spirit fall, G‑d forbid, because it is impossible to estimate what happens deep within the heart of a Jewish boy or girl. Even if sometimes it seems that much effort and toil yield few fruits, one cannot know what will happen in the near future or who can say about the distant future. And clearly one cannot know at all what negative things were prevented through this education and guidance. There is no need to elaborate further on this. Especially in our generation we have seen wonders—even with our physical eyes—how from one small seed that was planted, great and wondrous things have grown; with proper perspective you will certainly see such things among your own students...
