After a long break, your letter from 13 Iyar regarding the yeshivah matters has finally arrived. Surely, in the meantime, my response to the yeshivah administration has also been received, and it is surprising that until now nothing has been written about developments since then. May it be a sign for good—that since nothing is being written, everything is peaceful and successful.

It is certainly unnecessary to urge and encourage you that whatever is within your ability to do in this matter—you should do, including even if it requires more frequent trips to Melbourne; this should not be a hindrance.

It is surprising that you do not mention anything about your communal work in Sydney. May this too be a sign for good.

I read with pleasure the list of participants in the division of Shas, although it is not clear from the list when—G‑d willing—they will complete it, whether they are joining with the division of Shas here (which in any case concludes on Yud-Tes Kislev), or if they have set another date. In any case—may it be with success. As explained in my previous letter regarding the division of Shas, based on the sugya (Shabbos 93b) concerning two who perform an act together where neither could do so alone, one can say that each participant has the merit as if he studied the entire Shas.

Please convey my wishes and blessings to each and every participant.

Enclosed is an excerpt from a talk given on Shabbos Mevarchim Sivan, whose content truly applies all year round, since giving and receiving the Torah happens every day—as new—and as stated in Birchas HaTorah: "Noten HaTorah," in present tense.

Summary
