Shalom u'Vrachah!
... Regarding what you wrote about your personal situation and your thoughts about settling in one of the countries abroad, you surely know my perspective on this based on what I have seen among Anash of stature and profession who moved to the United States, Canada, or South America; the relocation led to a blurring of their character, G‑d forbid. According to how you describe your prospects in other places, I am very concerned that there is no guarantee that such a move would yield better results. Of course, this is not an absolute decision but merely an opinion based on experience, etc.
It is very unfortunate that since your thoughts (and apparently also your desire) wander through all lands except your current place, as the Baal Shem Tov says: "In the place where a person's will is, there he is found." At the very least, this causes a lack of proper attention to matters in your current location. As a result, this brings harm to these matters and to your health—and I am concerned for your wife's health as well—for it is impossible that such mental distraction would not affect both your health and that of those close to you. I do not wish to elaborate so as not to have my words interpreted as rebuke, G‑d forbid; I am only trying to correct the matter if possible.
With blessings for success and good health for you and your wife—may you share good news soon.
P.S.: Enclosed is the booklet just published; surely you will merit many with it.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that persistent thoughts about leaving one's current place can undermine both personal wellbeing and effectiveness. Stability and focus where one is presently situated are vital for spiritual and physical health—for oneself and loved ones.
