אאשר בזה קבלת מכתבו מכ"ב אדר. ועל של עתה באתי להסג"פ קונטרס לחה"פ שהו"ל אתמול ואף שיתקבל לאחר החג בטח ישתדל לזכות בו את הרבים אם בהמאמר או בהשיחה וכל חד וחד לפום שיעורי דילי' (הקדמת התניא ע"פ הזוהר) אבל בכולם צ"ל נודע בעלה. וי"ל שזהו מחלוקת פרעה שאמר לכו נא הגברים ועבדו את ה', אבל שיטתנו שהתווה לנו משה, שאתפשטותא הוא בכל דרא ודרא ובפרט בדור עקבתא דמשיחא וכמ"ש בת"ז (תי' סט), היא אשר בנערינו בשנים או בחכמה ובזקננו נלך בבנינו ובבנותינו ודוקא עי"ז חג ה' לנו.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 22nd of Adar. I am now enclosing a kuntres for Pesach that was published yesterday. Although you will receive it after the holiday, you will surely endeavor to use it to benefit the public—whether through the maamar or the sichah—and each person according to his own measure (as explained in the Tanya introduction based on the Zohar). However, in all cases, it must be clear who is its author.
It can be said that this is the dispute with Pharaoh, who said: 'Go now, the men, and serve G-d,' but our approach as outlined for us by Moshe—whose influence extends in every generation and especially in the era preceding Mashiach's coming, as stated in Tikkunei Zohar (Tikkun 69)—is that 'with our youth and our elders we will go; with our sons and our daughters,' whether young in years or wisdom. Only through this do we merit a true festival for G-d.
