כשנדפס בהמאמר כי מנסה תש"ח, אשר העדר הידיעה אינו משנה את הענין וגם מחזקים את זה במשל, הי' ק"ק אצלי דבענינים דלמטה פשיטא הוא ומאי קמ"ל. אבל כשהתבוננתי בדרכי בנ"א ובפרט במקום שיש שליטה לפיתויי הלעומ"ז - ראיתי והנה הצטדקות זו רגילה ביותר, אשר אומר שכיוון שהוא מסיח דעת מענין פלוני או שאינו מדבר אדותיו ה"ז גופא מסלק את הענין מסדה"י.
ובעשי', שהיא לעילא, קא עסקינן, אשר כנראה שיטת... עתה, שכשיעברו בשתיקה ע"ז שעליהם מוטל לעשות או שגם הבטיחו לעשות... ה"ז מסדר הדבר! וכאן פתחו לו פתח לאומן הידוע אשר היום א"ל כך כו'.

When the maamar "Ki Menaseh" of 5708 was printed, which states that a lack of awareness does not change the reality—and this is further illustrated with an analogy—it was initially puzzling to me. In matters below (mundane matters), this is obvious; what is the novelty here?
But when I reflected on human behavior, especially in places where there is influence from the forces of negativity, I saw that this justification is very common: a person says that since he diverts his attention from a certain matter or does not speak about it, this itself removes the matter from his agenda.
And in action—which is paramount—we see that apparently the approach now is that if they pass over something in silence which they are obligated to do or even promised to do... this organizes the matter! And here they have opened the door for the well-known craftsman (the evil inclination), who today tells him one thing and so on.
Enclosed is the maamar for Purim, intended to merit the many.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that ignoring spiritual responsibilities does not absolve one from them. True growth requires awareness and active engagement rather than avoidance or silence.
