מכתבו בעתו הגיעני וימים אלו קבלתי החוברת "סיני" של חדש ניסן תש"ז אבל לא מצאתי שם הערותיו על ההגדה.
ההגדה עם לקוטי טעמים ומנהגים נערכה על ידי וצויתי לשלחה לו כבקשתו.
החותם בפ"ש לכב"ב יחיו.
לפי אופי החוברת ראוי הי' שימצאו כרכי ירחון זה בספרי' של המל"ח, כמובן אם נשלח הוא בתור תשורה לספריות כאלו או בחלוף על היו"ל על ידינו, כי אין בתקציב שלנו הוצאה לחתימה על ירחונים ומכ"ע.
כשתהי' הזדמנות הראוי' אכתוב לבנו שי' ביחוד ולע"ע מטובו לפ"ש ושלום ביתו יחיו בשם המאוה כט"ס.
בעברי על חוברת הנ"ל ראיתי המאמר מקורות להרמב"ם כו'. - וכנראה שלא ראה הס' שערי דעה על הל' דעות, שרוב דברי המאמר באו שם, ומהם בביאור יותר. ומש"ש על ויש מקצר (א, א), ומה היא תקנת (ב, א) לא יהא אדם (ב, ז) - אין הדמיון עולה יפה.
מגוכתי"ק (עבור המזכיר שיעתיק במכונת כתיבה), בלי תאריך. מכתב המענה מתחיל: "הגיעני מכ' מיום ד' טבת".

Your timely letter reached me, and recently I received the "Sinai" journal for Nissan 5707, but I did not find your notes on the Haggadah there. The Haggadah with collected explanations and customs was prepared by me, and I instructed that it be sent to you as you requested.
I sign off with blessings for all good to you and your household—may they live.
Given the nature of this journal, it would be appropriate for volumes of this periodical to be found in the library of Melach (the institution), provided it is sent as a gift to such libraries or in exchange for publications issued by us, since our budget does not allow for subscriptions to journals and periodicals.
When an appropriate opportunity arises, I will write specifically to his son, may he live; meanwhile, please convey my regards and blessings for peace in his home—may they all live—in the name of the one who loves him as himself.
As I went through the above-mentioned journal, I saw the article "Sources for Rambam," etc.—and apparently he did not see the book Shaarei Deah on Hilchot Deot, where most of the article's content appears there, some even with more explanation. Regarding what he wrote about "There are those who are brief" (1:1), "And what is its remedy" (2:1), "A person should not be" (2:7)—the comparison is not accurate.
