מכתבו מכ' אלול, תש"ז, הגיענו, ובמה שכותב אדות ההדפסה הנני להודיעו: א) עפ"י הוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שליט"א אין בכלל רשות למי שהוא להדפיס איזה ספר דא"ח או ספרי חנוך שלנו בלי קבלות רשות על זה מהנהלת "קהת" שבברוקלין, נ.י.
ב) עניני הדפסת ספרים בגרמני' מסרתי - בהיותי בפריז - לר' דוד שי' בראוומאן, וסדרתי כבר אתו מה להדפיס וכו'.
ג) אם יש אפשריות להדפיס גם במדינתו, אנא להודיע התנאים בזה. ובכל אופן צ"ל ענין ההדפסה מסודר ולא שבכל מקום ידפיסו ויכפילו במק"א.
אשר לכן, אל נא תדפיסו לע"ע, ובאם יש לכם איזו הצעה בזה תודיעו נא אותה לנו ותציעו לפנינו.

Your letter from the 20th of Elul, 5707, has reached us. Regarding what you write about the printing, I wish to inform you:
a) According to the directive of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlit"a, no one at all is permitted to print any book of Chassidus or our educational books without receiving permission from the administration of "Kehot" in Brooklyn, NY.
b) The matters of book printing in Germany I entrusted—while I was in Paris—to Reb David Brauman, and I have already arranged with him what should be printed, etc.
c) If there is a possibility to print also in your country, please inform us of the conditions regarding this. In any case, the matter of printing must be organized and not that everywhere people print and duplicate elsewhere. Therefore, please do not print for now; if you have any suggestion regarding this matter, please inform us and present it before us.
