I received your letter and, as you requested, a package of books was sent to you at the address of Rabbi Benjaminsan. I mentioned the prisoners today. On Erev Yom Kippur here each year, a general pidyon (redemption) is given on behalf of Anash and the Temimim who are overseas, etc.
And to conclude with a matter relevant to the day: The Rebbe Rayatz shlita said today in the morning when the shochet entered with the mitzvah of covering the blood: The father said (apparently at the time of covering the blood on Erev Yom Kippur): The avodah of Erev Yom Kippur—if one needs to arouse gevurot (severity), it must be covered with chesed (kindness). Covered with loose earth—bitul (self-nullification). And then one hears "Ki BaYom HaZeh Yechaper" (For on this day He will atone).

Summary
