מכתבו השני קבלתי בעתו, והנה לא עניתי תומ"י על שאלותיו במ' הראשון מפני הטרדות הרבות אשר הקיפו.
שני הצעקין אשר צירף למכ' הא' - נמסרו תיכף למזכיר כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שליט"א, וזה לא כבר א"ל, אשר כבר נשלחו קבלות עליהם כפי אשר הורה במכתבו.
גם להבא אם יש לו איזה שאלות, הנני מוכן לעיין בהם כפי הנלפענ"ד, אבל אל נא ידחוק אותי בתכיפות בקבלת מענה, כי רבה העבודה פה בעניני "מרכז לעניני חנוך" "מחנה ישראל" ו"קהת" (ומהתימה אשר ע"ע כת"ר לא השתתף בעבודות אלו).
צויתי לשלוח לו קובץ "ליובאוויטש" שהו"ל זה עתה, וכפי הנראה ממכתבו, בטח יענינו אותו כמה מחלקות מקובץ זה.
מה שהעיר בשולי מכתבו בענין החפזון, הנה מבואר בדא"ח דיש
בזה - לפעמים - מעלה, וכמו בחפזון דיצי"מ וכי ברח העם (יעויין תניא פל"א של"ה מס' פסחים ד"ג), ומבואר בד"ה וככה תרל"ז בארוכה דהיינו כל זמן שלא נגמרו הבירורים, ולכן לע"ל, אדרבה, המעלה היא דלא בחפזון תלכו גו'. ועייג"כ שיחת חה"פ תש"ג ס"ב.
וע"ד הצחות י"ל, שגם עתה כן צ"ל - לא בחפזון - בכל השייך לקבלה וחסידות, שנק' עץ חיים, למע' מבירורים (עיין אגה"ק ס' כו, הקדמה לבאוה"ז, קונ' עץ [ה]חיים לאדנ"ע ועוד).
וצע"ק במה שנשתבחו ישראל במ"ת עמא פזיזא (שבת פח, א, שגם רבא הסכים ע"ז) אף שאז הי' חרות מיצה"ר.

I received your second letter in due time. I did not respond immediately to your questions in the first letter because of the many distractions that surrounded me.
The two tzaakin that you attached to your first letter were immediately given to the secretary of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita. Not long ago he told me that receipts for them have already been sent as instructed in your letter.
Also in the future, if you have any questions, I am ready to consider them as best as I can understand. But please do not pressure me for a prompt reply, as there is much work here with Merkaz LeInyanei Chinuch, Machne Israel, and Kehot (and it is surprising that until now you have not participated in these activities).
I have instructed that a copy of "Lubavitch"—just published—be sent to you. From your letter it seems certain that several sections of this publication will interest you.
Regarding what you noted in the margin of your letter about haste: It is explained in Chassidus that sometimes there is an advantage to haste—as with the haste at the Exodus from Egypt and "the people fled" (see Tanya ch. 31; Shlah Masechet Pesachim ch. 3). It is also explained at length in the discourse "Vekacha" 5637 (1877) that this applies as long as the birurim (refinements) are not complete; therefore in the future era, on the contrary—the advantage will be "not with haste shall you go," etc. See also the Pesach Sheni talk from 5703 (1943), section 2.
By way of wit one could say that even now it should be so—not with haste—in all matters relating to Kabbalah and Chassidus, which are called Etz Chaim (Tree of Life), above birurim (see Iggeres HaKodesh sec. 26; introduction to Baal HaOhr; Kuntres Etz HaChaim by my revered ancestor; and others).
It requires further study regarding how Israel was praised at Matan Torah as an "impetuous nation" (Shabbat 88a—even Rava agreed), even though then they were free from the evil inclination.
