With pleasure I received your letter from the 2nd of Tammuz—as well as the previous one—with the enclosed pan (pidyon nefesh), which I will read at an auspicious time at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), and the great merit of the days of redemption and auspiciousness—Yud-Beis and Yud-Gimmel Tammuz—may the celebrant draw down blessing and success to those connected to him and their families for all their needs.

Thank you for your expression of consolation; enclosed is a copy of what I said to those who came to comfort me on Yud-Tes Iyar.

My mother, may she live and be well, does not know about this matter because we are concerned about her health; therefore I requested that all those who know should not write to her about it as above...

Regarding the Chassidic booklets in Paris, and your question if there are Avrechim among Anash there capable of working on this matter: it is understood that since they are refugees and living in a foreign land one cannot rely on their influence. However, they do understand these Chassidic booklets and will surely be able to help if needed with their understanding and expertise. You can approach them directly through our office in Paris. The Avrech suitable for this is Haraha"ch Moreinu HaRav Hillel Pewzner. But then it would certainly be necessary to inform your acquaintances with influence in Paris to connect with them. Perhaps it would be worthwhile for the booklets to be sent here first if that would ease the effort—on the claim that here is the center of Chabad Chassidus and these writings belong here, etc.

In connection with the upcoming Yud-Beis–Yud-Gimmel Tammuz celebration, a booklet has been published as every year; it is enclosed and will surely interest you.

I conclude my letter respectfully with regards and wishes for proper health to you and your family.

P.S.: You mention in your letter a saying: 'Every delay is for good.' For some time I have been searching for the source of this saying in Jewish literature but have not yet found it.
