בעתו קבלתי מכ' מכ"ז ניסן, ושמחתי לקרות בו שהדזוינט מתנהג בטוב בנוגע להמושב זקנים ותקנו הענינים שדרשו תיקון ליתן מקום מיוחד לביהכ"נ שלא יבלבלו להם, זה שכותב שעושים לו קישוים וכו' לא ידעתי אם כדאי לנקוט זה ברציניות, ובפרט שיכול להיות בזה חלק מעצת היצר להתערב שלא לתת מקום לתקונים אלו שבידו ויכולתו לתקן, במילא מנסה הוא היצר מצד זה, ואין כדאי להשמע לו, וצריכים לעיין בטוב אופני הסתה שלו, שלפעמים מתלבש אין א חסידישער קאפאטע, וכידוע פתגם כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע בזה.
... כותב ג"כ במכתבו שבנו... למד תחלה בברונא ובת"א ועתה הלך למקום אחר, פלא לי קצת שכותב עד"ז בקרירות, ואף שארז"ל זרוק חוטרא לאוירא אעיקרי' קאי, בכ"ז הנה כל יום שאינו נמצא באהלה של חסידות תורה ויראת שמים, היזק גדול הוא, ובפרט בימים אלו עקבתא דעקבתא דמשיחא שקרב קץ גלותנו, ותורת החסידות היא הכנה וכלי לביאת וגילוי המשיח, ואם מוצא בעצמו שאין יכול לפעול עליו בזה, הי' צריך למצוא המתאים מאנ"ש שהוא יתענין בזה ויראה שהדבר יתוקן בהקדם והשי"ת יעזרו שיוכל לבשר בשו"ט בזה.

I received your letter of 27 Nissan in due course, and I was pleased to read that the Joint is behaving well regarding the old age home and that they have corrected the matters that needed fixing, providing a special place for the synagogue so as not to disturb them.
As for what you write about someone making things difficult, etc., I do not know if it is worth taking this seriously—especially since it could be part of the advice of the yetzer hara to interfere and prevent these necessary corrections that are within your power and ability to fix. Therefore, the yetzer tries from this angle, and it is not worthwhile to listen to him. One must carefully examine his methods of incitement, which sometimes disguise themselves in a chassidic kapoteh, as is known from the saying of my revered father-in-law (the Rebbe Maharash) on this matter.
You also write in your letter that your son... first studied in Bruna and Tel Aviv and now has gone elsewhere. I am somewhat surprised that you write about this so coolly. Even though our Sages said: 'Throw a stick into the air—it lands near its root,' nevertheless, every day he is not found in the tent of Chassidus, Torah, and fear of Heaven is a great loss—especially in these days of Ikvesa d'Ikvesa d'Meshicha (the footsteps of Mashiach), when the end of our exile is near. The teachings of Chassidus are preparation and a vessel for the coming and revelation of Mashiach. If you find yourself unable to influence him in this regard, you should find someone suitable among Anash who will take an interest in this matter and see that it is corrected promptly. May Hashem help you so that you can report good news about this.
