ולקראת חג השבועות הבע"ל הנני מברכו שיקבל על עצמו את התורה על כל השנה בשמחה ובפנימיות.

I received your letter from the 28th of Iyar, and I thank you for the good news that the wife of the Rav ... is feeling better. May Hashem grant you the merit to always share good tidings.
It pleased me to read in your letter that you and your wife helped Rav ... in his time of need. Regarding the matter of 'VeAhavta L'Rei'acha Kamocha' (You shall love your fellow as yourself), Hillel already said this is the central principle of Torah. My father-in-law, the Rebbe, explained in the name of the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya, that loving your fellow as yourself is a vessel for 'VeAhavta Es Hashem Elokecha' (You shall love Hashem your G‑d).
I hope that love of Hashem and love of Israel will go together for you, and as the Rebbe, the tzt"z said: Alef Beis—Alef stands for Ahavah (love), Beis for Berachah (blessing), Gimel for Ga'avah (pride), Dalet for Dalus (poverty), G‑d forbid.
As we approach Shavuos, may you accept upon yourself the Torah for the entire year with joy and inwardness.

Loving one's fellow Jew is not only a core value but also a vessel to achieve true love for Hashem. Acts of kindness and unity bring blessing and help us receive Torah with joy and depth.
