עס וואונדערט מיר וואס די געלט פון מר זאקס שי' איז נאך ניט אנגעקומען. זיכער וועט איר אים מזרז זיין.
ווי איך האב אייך איבערגעגעבן טעלעפאניש, איז מיט עטליכע טעג צוריק געקומען פון יוראפ אונזער פארשטייער הרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א וכו' וכו' מוהר"ר בנימין שי' גאראדעצקי. ער האט געבראכט אן אויספירליכן באריכט וועגן אונזער ארבעט אין יוראפ און בפרט אין צפון אפריקע, אז די ארבעט גייט אן-עין-הרע מיט אויסער געוויינליכער הצלחה, דאגעגן איז אבער צום באדויערן וואס דער פינאנציעלער מצב איז זייער געדריקט, בפרט אז דער דזשאינט האט פארקלענערט זיין סובסידיע פאר אונזער ארבעט.
דערפאר וויל איך ספעציעל וויסן, וואס עס איז געווארן מיט דער הלואה בא ידידנו מר יוסף שי' ראבינסאן, וואס זי איז פארבונדן מיט זיין השתתפות אין די הוצאות פון אונזער ארבעט אין אפריקע.
איך האף, אז ווען איר וועט אי"ה קומען וועט איר בריינגען בשורות טובות בהנוגע לפועל ממש.

As I conveyed to you by telephone, several days ago our representative from Europe, Haraha"g vaharaha"ch vavac"h iy"a etc. etc. Moreinu HaRav Binyamin Gorodetsky, arrived. He brought a detailed report about our work in Europe and especially in North Africa, that the work is proceeding—kein ayin hara—with extraordinary success. However, it is regrettable that the financial situation is very strained, especially since the Joint has reduced its subsidy for our work.
Therefore I especially want to know what happened with the loan from our friend Mr. Yosef Robinson, which is connected to his participation in covering the expenses of our work in Africa.
