I was pleased to receive your letter from Motzaei Shabbat Parshat Lech Lecha along with the enclosed photos of your two children. May you and your husband merit to raise them to Torah, marriage, and good deeds.

I was especially gratified by your writing that you have been chosen as president of the organization for Taharas HaMishpacha, and that the work is growing.

The Rebbe, my father-in-law of blessed memory, once said that a good teacher is one who teaches a student so that ultimately he can learn on his own and not need to rely on the teacher. The same applies in communal work: a good communal worker is one whose efforts bring vitality so that the members of the organization themselves will have enthusiasm to work, and will not need to constantly rely on inspiration from the president or other officers...

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that true leadership means empowering others to act independently and with enthusiasm. A leader's success is measured by how much they inspire their team to take initiative without always needing direct encouragement.
